Supporting a 360-Degree Production: Showsec at BTS’s Arirang Tour

Over two nights at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Showsec played a key role in delivering BTS’s Arirang world tour. Hundreds of Showsec staff worked to support the safety, welfare and movement of more than 100,000 fans at the sold-out event.

Supporting such a dynamic performance during a heatwave created a unique operational environment. The show saw not only the group members but 50 dancers parading around the perimeter of the 360-degree panoramic stage, requiring tight coordination.

On event preparations, Jonathan Etienne, Operations Executive for London, had this to say:

“We oversaw the security operations for attendees on the ground; there was a lot of artist movement throughout. This required intense coordination as the show incorporated all angles of the stage.

Staff worked extremely well considering the heat. The weather also meant that attendee welfare was a priority, so we made sure we were providing water for everyone.”

Despite the challenges posed by the scale of the production and the extreme temperatures, attendees were able to focus on what they came for: enjoying the show.
