Entry Level Training

Comprehensive induction training is provided to all Stewards and SIA Door Supervisors prior to commencing work. An online role specific training session with scenario-based activities delivered by experienced trainers coupled with a series of engaging eLearning courses will prepare new starters for their first shift. Our training is designed for new starters, and offers an overview of our role in delivering crowd management services, explaining your responsibilities as part of the team and empowering you to succeed. Learners will also be introduced to company values, policies and procedures to ensure they understand how we operate and what is expected when representing Showsec at events and venues.

Practical Training Courses

Showsec is committed to upskilling opportunities through our practical training courses, and our Festival of Training which takes place multiple times throughout the year. We provide a series of concurrent training sessions to upskill our workforce, delivered in focused one or two day sessions, and designed to maximise engagement, interactivity, and learning impact. Senior management plays an active role throughout, ensuring a high-quality experience and strong alignment with organisational standards.

Showsec is committed to upholding the highest standards of compliance and industry best practice, as well as providing opportunities for growth within our workforce. As part of this commitment, all Supervisors undertake Supervisor Top-Up Training every three years, a programme introduced in 2023 to ensure their knowledge remains aligned with evolving regulations and sector developments.

This training not only reinforces operational excellence but also plays a key role in our internal career pathway. By continually enhancing their skills, Supervisors are better equipped to progress into more senior positions within the organisation, supporting both personal growth and the ongoing strength of our leadership teams.

Management Development Programme

Showsec’s Management Development Programme is a structured career pathway designed to develop the next generation of leaders in event security and crowd management. Since its launch in 2008, the programme has combined practical experience with accredited qualifications, guiding managers from a Level 4 Certificate of Higher Education through to Levels 5, 6 and 7, alongside leadership training.

The MDP equips individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to deliver safe, effective operations while understanding the wider business context of live events. Continuously reviewed and adapted to meet evolving industry demands, it ensures our teams remain highly capable, forward-thinking professionals who set and exceed the standards our clients expect.
