Showsec Partner in Warrington Testing and Vaccination Centres

Showsec is proud to be involved in the roll out of Covid vaccinations and testing at the Halliwell Jones Stadium, where the company’s usual service is related to Rugby League matches at the Warrington Wolves home ground.

Showsec is delivering a 24/7 security coverage at the stadium and provide access control and customer service for visitors arriving and departing both the testing and vaccination centres, which are located in separate parts of the stadium.

The venue is home to one of four local vaccination centres run by local surgeries and is vaccinating around 1000 patients a day, having already vaccinated around 15,000 between December and February**. Staff and volunteers at the centre have received praise following a visit by a local Warrington MP and the Borough Council leader.

The testing centre, run by Warrington Borough Council, opened on the 11th January and is one of two local asymptomatic community testing sites for people who are not displaying coronavirus symptoms. It is open six days a week and has the capacity for hundreds of lateral flow tests per day.
