Showsec Increases Pay Rates Ahead Of Autumn Budget 2021 Announcements

27 October 2021

Today the government officially announced its’ financial strategy for Autumn 2021, including the budget for a planned rise in the national minimum wage for April next year.

As a company committed to excellence, Showsec was thrilled to announce pay rises ahead of the government’s announcement. From the 15th October 2021, our pay rates rose to meet and exceed the real living wage published by the Living Wage Foundation* and the national minimum wage increases due in 2022.

These new rates will be paid across the country and include London-specific rates for shifts that take place at venues and events located within the M25.

The changes have seen our country-wide Steward rates rise to £10.65 an hour and our SIA Door Supervisor Rates to between £10.75 and £13.50 an hour**.

In London, Showsec will pay equivalent to the London living wage, with rates at £12.16 an hour for Stewards and between £12.27 and £14.50 an hour for SIA Door Supervisors**.

In order to pay a fair and competitive wage, Showsec does not differentiate for those aged 18-22 and in doing so we go beyond the Government’s national minimum wage requirements.

Showsec is thrilled to be a step ahead in being a part of helping to ‘build back better’. Bring on the new age of optimism!
