Two Days, Three Employability Events: Showsec’s Commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility  

At Showsec, creating accessible employment opportunities and supporting the communities in which we operate is central to our approach to corporate social responsibility. 

Last week, over two days, our Recruitment team attended three job fairs across the country. From Leicester, up to Leeds and Manchester, we connected with hundreds of people looking for work, and were able to showcase the wide range of career opportunities available across the events and security industry. 

In Leicester, we joined Leicester City in the Community as part of its Youth Hub programme, delivered in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions. Supporting the community surrounding our Leicester headquarters, the event gave us the opportunity to engage with more than 360 local people and introduce them to roles across the business, from event stewarding and SIA-licensed security positions to career opportunities within our Head Office teams. 

At the O2 Academy Leeds, Recruitment Manager Keely Davis attended the Alternative Freshers Fair, speaking with students about the flexible and rewarding opportunities available with Showsec. The event provided an alternative way for students to explore employment alongside their studies, develop transferable skills and gain valuable experience while working at live events. 

Meanwhile, at the University of Manchester, Recruitment Administrator George Church met with students and highlighted the variety of roles available across the company. Attendees learned more about the opportunity to work at some of the UK’s largest live events and festivals while developing skills that can support their future careers. 

By building strong partnerships with community organisations, employment services and educational institutions, Showsec continues to widen access to employment and support people at different stages of their career journey. 

Three job fairs in just two days reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in local talent, improving employability and helping people build rewarding careers within the events and security industry.
