Showsec continues our strategic partnership with Manchester City Council to deliver an extensive range of security and support services across multiple departments, specifically in Events, Licensing (Taxi Marshalling), Specialist Markets, and Housing Services.

This partnership is a structured collaboration designed to ensure public safety, enhance event security, and support community needs through professional and reliable service delivery.
Our services extend to four distinct departments within Manchester City Council. These include:

Events – Comprehensive security solutions tailored to Manchester’s large-scale public events, such as:

• St. George’s Day Parade (10,000 attendees)
• Manchester Day (50,000 attendees)
• Chinese New Year Celebrations (150,000 attendees)
• Manchester City Victory Parades (250,000+ attendees)
• New Year’s Eve Fireworks (20,000 attendees) 

1. Licensing (Taxi Marshalling) – Managing taxi queuing and safety for public transportation at busy times.
2. Specialist Markets – Providing security for static street food markets and the high-traffic annual Christmas markets, including the Manchester Christmas Markets.
3. Housing Services – A dedicated “Waking Watch” program for continuous security patrols in social housing, reflecting post-Grenfell safety standards.
