Showsec has been providing security services at the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) since 2007, supporting one of the South of England’s leading venues for concerts, conferences, exhibitions and live events.

The venue hosts a varied programme of events, from standing and seated concerts to boxing, conferences and exhibitions, often with multiple events taking place across the site at the same time.

As the venue’s security provider, Showsec delivers SIA-licensed security personnel, event control staff and CCTV operators, with stewarding support provided when required. For larger or higher-risk events, specialist dog handling teams are integrated into the operation.

Our teams manage access control, searching, customer safety and incident response across the venue. On busy event days, each event has a dedicated Showsec lead, acting as the Head of Security overseeing operations across the wider site.

Working closely with BH Live, we plan staffing and security requirements for every event, ensuring the operation is tailored to the audience, venue setup and event profile.
