Resource Planning Team Leader
Join us as a Resource Planning Team Leader with a strong focus on people and performance. In this role, you’ll lead, support, and develop a team responsible for coordinating event staffing and ensuring operational efficiency.
You’ll create an engaged and resilient team culture through regular coaching, 1:1s, and the delivery of clear, honest, and constructive feedback. Maintaining accurate performance records and setting high standards will be central to your approach, alongside a genuine commitment to developing others.
While experience in resource planning or operational delivery is beneficial, it isn’t essential — full training will be provided. What matters most is your ability to inspire, motivate, and support your team while balancing day-to-day delivery with long-term people development.
You’ll work closely with stakeholders, using strong communication, adaptability, negotiation, and problem-solving skills to ensure plans are delivered effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. What you will be doing
- Inspire and motivate team members to achieve company goals and objectives.
- Provide clear leadership and guidance to Resource Planners
- Manage change effectively by building team confidence through sound decision-making and communication.
- Share leadership responsibilities through effective delegation.
- Work closely with the Resource Planning Support Manager and Operations Area Managers to resolve complex situations
- Maintain a strong understanding of team capabilities, focusing on coaching, development, and motivation.
- Conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews to ensure targets are consistently met.
- Identify and communicate risks related to Resource Planning requirements.
- Ensure adherence to departmental processes and conduct regular audits, taking corrective action where necessary.
- Drive improvements in workplace functions and productivity.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and management of team absence, sickness, and annual leave, liaising with HR and the Resource Planning Support Manager as appropriate.
- Perform any other duties appropriate to the role.

What we need from you
- Right to work in the UK.
- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant planning tools.
- Strong understanding of scheduling systems and operational processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- High standards of organisation, adaptability, and professionalism, consistently leading by example in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to drive team engagement by fostering a positive and supportive culture, encouraging open communication and collaboration to achieve departmental goals.
- Strong stakeholder management skills,
- Experience maintaining accurate performance records, with thorough documentation of coaching sessions, discussions, and follow-up actions.
- Demonstrable ability to champion people development, coaching, and supporting team members to achieve their full potential.
- Proven track record in team leadership and performance management, including conducting regular 1:1s and providing honest, constructive feedback.
