On-Site Workforce Coordinator

You will be providing management and onsite support at some of the UK’s biggest events, as well as stadium shows up and down the country!
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the successful applicant will closely liaise with various departments, as well as our casual workers, to ensure the efficient deployment, management and provision of welfare to our event staff. They will assist the Logistics Manager in ensuring all events are supported by qualified Logistics staff and adequately resourced. This role will require the postholder to travel to events nationwide.
Your time will primarily be spent on-site, supporting the delivery of large events as well as pre-event planning work.
What you will be doing
- Ensure the high-quality delivery of the department’s operations, attending and managing teams in consultation with the Logistics Manager.
- Manage on-site teams, ensuring that all tasks are carried out in a safe, efficient and effective manner.
- Line management responsibility of staff, including some of the casual workforce, and ensuring that policies and processes are adhered to in line with Showsec standards and legal requirements.
- Manage your own operational and administrative workload in consultation with your manager.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures relating to the role including laws and regulatory influences.
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times including the effective use of communication, oral and written, and observe high levels of confidentiality.
- Respond to internal and external communication in a timely manner.
- To oversee the scheduling of Logistics staff onto shifts using our staff rostering system.
- Identify, coach, mentor, and develop staff within the department.
- To plan, alongside the Warehouse Coordinator, the delivery of all event equipment to each event in a timely manner.
- To forge strong working relationships with the area operations teams and other stakeholders.
- To assist the Logistics Manager in auditing the departments KPIs and SOPs at events.
- Any other duties commensurate with the post.

- Salary of £31,895 per annum (pro-rata for 4 months)
- 700 hours across a 4-month fixed-term contract, including weekends and evenings.

What we need from you
- Right to Work in the UK**
- Full UK Driving Licence**
- Math’s GCSE or equivalent (C or above)**
- English GCSE or equivalent (C or above)**
- Competent understanding of Microsoft Platforms; Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook Email.
- Proficient in written and oral communication skills.
- A strong leader, capable of providing management and onsite support for the Showsec Logistics department.
- Able to provide excellent project management for pre-event planning.
- Experienced in leadership and possess strong coaching skills to get the best out of our established team.
- Able to make decisions in an evolving environment - you need to be calm and decisive in challenging and stressful situations.
- Able to balance the workload of multiple projects at once. Excellent attention to detail will ensure projects run to schedule and scope.
