Showsec Returned to Download After 8 Years

Showsec is proud to have returned to the Download Festival after an eight-year hiatus, playing a crucial role in the success of this year’s event at Donington Park. With a dedicated team of over 500 security personnel, we ensured the safety and enjoyment of 75,000 rock and metal enthusiasts. Running from June 14th to 16th, the festival showcased an impressive line up of acts, including headline performances from Queens of the Stone Age, Fall Out Boy, and Avenged Sevenfold.

A Festival to Remember

Despite the heavy rain leading up to and during the event, which transformed Donington Park into a mud-laden terrain, the spirits of festival-goers remained high. Clad in waterproofs and wellies, attendees embraced the quintessential British festival weather, turning the mud into an integral part of the fun.

Our Commitment to Safety

Showsec’s 500-strong team was tasked with a variety of responsibilities, from managing front of stage pit barriers, conducting bag searches, to patrolling the grounds and providing assistance to those in need. Our primary goal was to ensure the safety and security of all attendees, artists, and staff throughout the event.

A Stellar Line up

The festival featured four main stages, each offering something for everyone, ensuring a diverse and thrilling experience for all attendees. The lineup was nothing short of spectacular, with legendary acts taking to the stage each night. Queens of the Stone Age’s electrifying performance on Friday night set the tone, followed by Fall Out Boy’s energetic set on Saturday, and Avenged Sevenfold closing the festival with their intense show on Sunday. Other notable acts included Royal Blood, Black Stone Cherry, The Offspring, Enter Shikari, Limp Bizkit, Busted, and Corey Taylor, catering to a wide range of musical tastes.
