Showsec Joins Vaillant Live as Security Partner

Derby, UK – April 2025 — Leading crowd management and event security specialists, Showsec, are proud to announce their appointment as the security and stewarding partner for the newly unveiled Vaillant Live – Derby’s landmark venue for live entertainment and cultural events.

The partnership kicked off in style earlier this month with a free public warm-up event, hosted in collaboration with BBC Radio Derby and BBC Introducing. Designed to spotlight rising local talent, the event featured energetic performances from Derby-based favourites Deco, The Whiskey Brothers, Dorothy Ella, and more, giving audiences a taste of what’s to come from this cutting-edge venue.

Owned by Derby City Council and operated by global venue management company ASM Global, Vaillant Live is expected to draw around 250,000 visitors annually. With a 3,500-capacity auditorium, the venue is purpose-built to host over 200 performances a year, ranging from comedy and music to community and corporate events. Confirmed acts for this autumn include comedian John Bishop and pop legends Wet Wet Wet.

Joseph Milner, Showsec’s Area Manager for the East Midlands, expressed enthusiasm about the new chapter:

“It’s incredibly exciting to open a purpose-built event space in Derby. The construction of the venue has provided new employment and cultural opportunities for the surrounding areas.”

He also praised the collaboration with ASM Global and the venue’s wider team during the build-up to launch:
