Manchester Day Parade Makes A Triumphant Return!

Three years in waiting, the Manchester Day Parade returned to the city centre, bringing ‘all things Manchester’ to the crowds again.

The Manchester Parade is an enthusiastically awaited date in the Showsec calendar, having worked alongside Manchester City Council on this project for many years. It was certainly worth the wait as the streets were filled with music, dance and creativity, all centering around Manchester’s young people and the Mancunian identity.

This year Showsec provided a full complement of crowd management, customer direction and asset protection across the parade and public engagement areas in the surrounding city. The flexibility and challenge that comes with a city-wide event was embraced by the team, each role a significant part of making such a largescale event successful.
