Covid-Safe Focus for Showsec At O2 Forum Kentish Town Pilot Shows
The end of October saw Showsec working in partnership with O2 Forum Kentish Town to deliver a series of pilot comedy shows, the first events held at the venue since the lockdown in March.
Showsec delivered customer focussed crowd management and event security services to ensure the changes in place to prioritise safety were followed.
With a maximum capacity of 478 attendees at any one performance (reduced from 2300), the venue layout was carefully placed in line with government guidelines and staff were on hand to help customers to their dedicated seats, ensure a distance of one-metre-plus was maintained between groups and answer any queries regarding new protocols.
Arrival times were pre-allocated and entry processes took place in the open-air front canopy area. Internally all staff and customers wore face coverings and capacities were managed with measures including a one-way system and refreshment orders to seats.
Laura Alexander, London Operations Executive said: “We’re proud to have been part of these pilot shows, an important step for the industry, which have showed the public appetite for a return to live events. The smaller audience numbers gave an exclusive feel to the shows and our staff were happy to be back focussing on high levels of customer service.”
The Comedy Store at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town shows featured sold out performances from Eddie Izzard and Ricky Gervais, and whilst the current lockdown put the schedule on hold the upcoming schedule can be viewed here > https://academymusicgroup.com/o2forumkentishtown/
