Resource Planning Team Leader
We are currently recruiting for a full-time Resource Planning Team Leader to work in the Resource Planning Department at Showsec’s Head Office by the historic New Walk in Leicester City Centre. Conveniently located within walking distance of Leicester train station and the city centre.
The Team Leader will work in close partnership with the Resource Planning Support Manager and Operations Area Managers. They will take specific responsibility for co-ordinating the staffing of events. Customer service will be a high priority as well as fostering a motivated and strong team environment within the office, they will lead by example. Responsible for managing the day-to-day planning, implementation, adaptiveness to change, problem-solving to ensure their team achieves their daily goals in a fast-paced environment.
What you will be doing
- Influential in Core Areas and helps to inspire the commitment of team members to meet company goals and objectives.
- Manage the customer service to our Casual Workforce and Operations Teams. Providing guidance and feedback to ensure high quality customer service and standard level agreements are met. To efficiently direct resources such that work volumes are processed within agreed SLA’s, whilst ensuring that the teams individual performance actively contributes to the achievement of KPIs.
- Motivate and provide leadership and guidance for a team of Resource Planners who are responsible for the staffing & co-ordination of Event Staffing.
- Manages change in the workplace by gaining the confidence of their team through effective decision making and communication. Accepts and implements change positively Shares leadership through delegation.
- Focus on improving workplace functions and production gaining efficiency and working with IT and other departments to enhance our service delivery.
- Ensure a good level of understanding of the teams’ capabilities with a specific focus on coaching, development and motivation. Utilising tools such as 1-1’s and performance reviews to ensure targets are consistently met.
- Be aware of all areas of risk in relation to Resource Planning requirements, ensuring effective communication with the team and Resource Planning Support Manager whilst utilising the correct reporting procedure.
- Follow all departmental processes. Regularly audit Resource Planning on complying with these processes as required and act where necessary.
- Resolve complex situations and evolving targets on a day-to-day basis whilst working to strict deadlines, in close partnership with the Resource Planning Support Manager and the Operations team.
- Work closely with the Marketing Department and Operations teams to ensure appropriate communication to the workforce regarding events. Promote regular communication as required.
- Record, monitor and manage the team’s absence, sickness and annual leave. Communicate with HR and the Resource Planning Support Manager as appropriate.
- Any other duties appropriate to the role.

What we need from you

- Leadership qualification (Desireable).
