Get Trained as a SIA Door Supervisor with Showsec
Showsec are pleased to offer SIA Door Supervisor training courses across the UK.
The course consists of four days of training plus one online module. Candidates who successfully complete the course will earn a Level 2 Award in Door Supervision.
Why should you take this course?
Before you can apply for a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) which is essential in order to work as a Door Supervisor you must have a recognised Door Supervision qualification.
This course can provide a new starting point for your career in the security industry, whether you are already experienced in the field or not. The course is run by experienced Showsec trainers, who can offer invaluable advice for your future career as a Door Supervisor.
What does the course cover?
The course will cover a total of four modules, one of which will be an online module
> Working as a Door Supervisor
> Working Within the Private Security Industry
> Conflict Management Within the Private Security Industry
> Physical Intervention Skills Within the Private Security Industry
You will need to pass three multiple choice exams and one practical assessment to earn the Level 2 Award in Door Supervision. Our trainers will make sure you have everything you need to fully prepare and do well in your exams.
I don’t work for Showsec. Can I still book onto the course?
Yes! Showsec is committed to improving skills across the industry and increasing the numbers of qualified security staff working at UK venues, which is why this course is open to all applicants including those who do not currently work for Showsec.
When are the course dates?
> Leeds – 11th to 14th November 2019
> Cardiff – 6th to 9th January 2020
> Sheffield – 13th to 16th January 2020
> Manchester – 20th to 23rd January 2020
All dates run from 09:00-17:30
How much does the course cost?
The SIA Door Supervisor courses include 4 days of training at a cost of *£150 + VAT for external candidates and *£150 including VAT for internal candidates. Internal candidates can apply for funding for Cardiff or Sheffield courses- terms apply.
